The GMC Hummer EV all-electric pickup truck will make its debut during a commercial break for Game 1 of the MLB World Series on October 20th.

According to Automotive News, the highly anticipated battery-electric pickup truck will be shown for the first time during coverage of the championship baseball game. In a statement, GMC marketing vice president Phil Brooks said the automaker expects the reveal to be one of the automaker’s biggest to date.

“We cannot wait to finally reveal the GMC Hummer EV,” Brooks said this week. “We are leaving no stone unturned on reveal day. In terms of audience reach, we anticipate this will be one of the brand’s most ambitious stand-alone campaigns ever.”

The GMC Hummer EV reveal is scheduled for October 20th at 8 p.m. ET. In addition to the World Series appearance, the vehicle will also simultaneously debut during coverage of NBC’s The Voice. Fans will be able to stream the debut event via the automaker’s YouTube and social pages at this time, as well. A GMC spokesperson told The Detroit News this week that the debut event will include a short film that will be “visible simultaneously,” across the various platforms.

The GMC Hummer EV will ride on GM’s new dedicated BT1 electric vehicle platform. The vehicle is expected to debut as a four-door pickup truck, although an SUV variant will join the range at a later date. The vehicle will be available with one, two or three electric motors and will utilize GM’s new Ultium lithium-ion battery pack. Certain versions will produce over 1,000 horsepower and will be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in three seconds flat. The truck, which will feature 800V battery packs with 350 kWh fast charging capability, should have a real-world range of around 400 miles when properly equipped.

GM has already confirmed the GMC Hummer EV will feature the next-generation of its Super Cruise hands-free driving system, along with an Open Air Infinity Roof, Modular Sky Panels, Ultra Vision Cameras and an innovative Crab Mode four-wheel steering system, as well.
